  3. Special Pieces-Parts The Emotional Gateway to the brain Adversely affected can affect conditions such as anxiety (particularly panic), PTSD, depression, and bipolar illness (Mood Disorders). When the fight or flight response goes haywire, thinking is hijacked by emotion.

  4. The Nervous System Neurotransmitters carry electrical signals across dendrites at the synapses (gaps between nerve cells in the brain). In turn, these signals relay messages to the specific parts of the body needed for appropriate responses. Neurotransmitters include dopamine, adrenaline (epinephrine), serotonin, Acetylcholine, Gaba, Glutamate, Histamine, and Endorphin. …and the Neuron!
