Subject Matter Expert Personal Comments: • I'm sure Peter has the references for sedation vacation and weaning trials if you don't see them in our reference list for the IDICU or the current collaborative. • The first 2 BTS in Adult Intensive Care showed dramatic reduction in VAP associated with institution of protocols. I suspect the evidence for this remains at the level of expert opinion.
