Illegal Baseball Bats: • In little league they want to ban aluminum bats. Light weight bats make the ball travel farther and faster. Serious injury could occur because if the ball is traveling too fast and the little kid isn’t fast enough to stop it then they can have a very bad hit in the head. Even major leaguers don’t use them because of their safety. They’re also thinking about banning metal bats in high school because a pitcher was killed from a line drive hit of the bat.
Illegal Baseball Bats(continued) • Banned Baseball Bats: *composite *aluminum (some of these are only banned in college and major league because the kids can hit harder than the ones in high school and little league…same with softball)
Illegal Softball Bats: • In softball they are banning titanium bats. They made the walls of the bats too thin because the thinner the wall the more trampoline like the ball will bounce off the bat. The causes the ball to be hit harder and faster. Some call it a cheat because if they use it and they aren’t supposed to then it’s not fair to the other team. If the team using the titanium bat keeps getting hits then it’s cheating because if they didn’t use the bat then they might’ve not gotten all the runs to win.
Illegal Softball Bats(continued) • Banned Softball Bats: *metal *titanium *no bats that exceed BPF of 1.2
More about bats: • Softball and baseball bats both need to be checked every time before a game. People can shave/roll them to make them sharper and/or smaller. If they’re cracked then they can break and shatter everywhere, maybe cutting some player or getting caught in their cleats. Also if they’re illegal the empire can make sure they wont be using them so there’s no delay during the game.
