Roman Clothing • For men and women Roman clothing was fairly uniform (not many exceptions.) • There were a few basic styles and people improvised or added things depending on the situation an how wealthy (or poor) they were.
Men- Toga at the age of 16 all male citizens could where this heavy, cumbersome piece of clothing. It was similar to the business suit of today. On certain occasions and for different people different togas were appropriate.
Men - Tunics When you weren’t wearing your toga or if you weren’t able to all other Romans would wear a tunic. Very basic.
Woman - The Stola Stola with a Palla
You will need to construct a toga (or something else..) Make yourself authentic for our Roman festival. Make a toga, tunic, or a stola. There are tons of websites to help you. I can help you with materials as well. You will have to options to wear your Roman outift and you can get 75 points each time!
