International Materials Institute (IMI) International Center for Materials Research (ICMR) Nicola Spaldin, University of California at Santa Barbara, DMR 0409848 • ICMR-JNCASR Winter School on the Chemistry of Materials • The ICMR and the Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research co-organized a one-week winter school on the Chemistry of Materials, which took place from December 12 – 19, 2006 in Bangalore, India. The school brought together young scientists from different parts of the world to discuss the diverse aspects of materials chemistry. • There were 73 participants, including 55 from India, 10 from the US and 8 from Europe and Asia.
