2. 2012 Line Direction • The New City Mod Line is inspired by 1960s classic “mod” styles, mainly the painting by Piet Mondrian. The line is seeking to reminisce upon the look also inspired by this painting by Yves Saint Laurent. • The colors found in the New City Mod Line are mainly the primary colors of red, blue, yellow, with accents of white and black. These colors will provide nods toward the Mondrian painting while straying away from the exact replica of Yves Saint Laurent’s look. • The silhouettes of the line include form-fitting sheaths, skirts, and jackets to bring a modern sexy feel to the sack dresses of the mod era. The jackets will be white and black color to pair with the solid primary colors of the dresses and skirts. The white and black of the jackets will provide the “color blocking” feel of Laurent’s dress. • The new colors will allow this line to transition to any season. • Updated buttons down the length of the back of the sheath dress will provide a new feel to the look.

3. SWOT Analysis • Scenario: • This classic sheath with diagonal seams Women’s career dress is a mid range in spring 2011. The dress is only available in one color: teal.
