What is the Prompt Asking? We can all remember or imagine a time we had to think fast to solve a problem. Think about or imagine one time you had to think fast to solve a problem. Now write about a time you had to think fast to solve a problem.
Make a Plan Beginning Introduces the setting, main characters, and the problem Middle Two attempts by the main character to solve the problem that fail. End Third attempt that solves the problem.

Dialogue “Have a wonderful day at Lakewood Elementary!” Our principal sang, as he signed off on the morning announcements. Setting Everyone stopped talking as soon as I walked into the classroom. Sound “CRASH!” The door to the classroom flew open as I burst into the room. I couldn’t believe it was finally my day to make lunch.
