Accomplishments: P1J Activities • Last P1J workshop October 17-20, Vilspa, Spain. (CCSDS Fall series). Completed a detailed review of the green book; subject: navigation definitions and conventions. Established topics for new red books, to define recommendations for orbit, tracking, attitude, proximity ops, environmental models and astrodynamic constants • Currently working on final review of P1J green book. To be submitted for acceptance following the May workshop. • Currently working on initial review of P1J white book. Subject: orbital data messages. Final version may be ready following the May workshop. • Planning support to P1J, TSG, and MC meetings, next May. NTAG MEETING/P1J
P1J Future work • Development of new P1J CCSDS white books (red books) on recommendations for orbit, tracking, attitude, proximity ops, environmental models and astrodynamic constants. • IACG has increased the scope of Working Group 4 (Tracking, Commanding and Data Acquisition) to investigate the current and future status and proposed demand for deep space tracking facilities. P1J will contribute recommendations. • Next P1J workshop, Spring 2001, May 9-11, at ESA/ESOC. • Joint P1J/P1K meeting, May 22, at Pasadena, CA.
