American Housing Survey Purpose: Provide a current and continuous series of data on housing and demographic characteristics AHS data used to make housing policy and to design housing programs Sample Size :National sample of about 62,000; data collection is May through September Current metropolitan sample for Texas MSA’s-Houston, San Antonio and Austin Periodicity: Conduct AHS in odd numbered years Sponsor : Department of Housing and Urban Development
