GOALS Long Range Goals Immediate Goals Intermediate Goals “Get at least one layer of the ‘tower’ working as soon as possible using the Hamamatsu APD with minimum expenses” “Design ‘full’ DAQ system for the ~40K channels prototype for test on ‘a’ beam line” “Get two layers of the ‘tower’ working as soon as possible with minimum expenses” Manuel I. Martin
People / Assigments • Until classes start at UIC • Ian Harnarine • Work on the QPA02 <-> APD (Hamamatsu) • Help on procurement • Shahab Khan • Work on the XYZ controls and Data Acquisition Manuel I. Martin
Progress to date: • Make decisions to achieve immediate and intermediate goals as follows: • Design two separated ‘light tight’ boxes • to accommodate 6 PMT (16 channels) • to accommodate 2 Hamamatsu APD and/or one RMD SiAPD • Transfer the setup that Kurt uses to instrument 2 layers of the ‘tower’ • Start collecting necessary data from • Hamamatsu • RMD ???? • QPA02 (R. Yarema ?) • Design • holder for the Hamamatsu APD (conceptual, interface with Sasha) • PC Board to interface Hamamatsu to QPA02 (impossible until data for QPA02) • Holder for the RMD SiAPD (impossible until data for QPA02) • PC Board to interface RMD SiAPD QPA02 (impossible until data for QPA02) Manuel I.
