Who’s Eligible? • Any student with a documented disability may be eligible for accommodations. • The student’s documentation must meet the College Board’s criteria which can be found at: College Board Accommodation Guidelines • Please note that students must have both a cognitive and an achievement assessment that is not more than five years old. • Parents can be directed to read about guidelines at: Collegeboard.com
The ACT There are two different applications for student accommodations: • For 50% Extended Time, students should complete the ACT Extended Time Application • For all other accommodations the student needs to complete the Request for ACT Special Testing
The ACT requires that testing be done within three years of applying for accommodations for learning disabilities. • For information on other disabilities and the accommodations that are available please see: ACT Services for Students with Disabilities • Once the student has filled out their part of the form, it should be returned to me along with their registration packet which can be obtained in the Guidance Office. • QUESTIONS?
