Problem Definition • Design objectives and constraints: • Safe
780 inches 2.5 inches 100 inches
Side-by-side Coplanar Slides
Side-by-side Coplanar Slides
Open Slide Chute (4 – 2* width of slide chute) radius of slide chute
Surfacing under the playground 2-3 inches 3-6 inches 3-4 inches
Surfacing under slides and swings Layer 5: Impact mats under swings
Cost Estimation • Total Cost of playground equipment : 108,000 Dhs • Cost of playground equipment (x) + Cost of installation (.30x) + Cost of surfacing (.12x) + Cost of design fees, grading, landscaping, and other expenses (.10x) = Total project cost or budget • Initial Cost= 180,000 Dhs • Final Cost = 90,000 Dhs
Conclusion • Important stages we went through • Final Design Stage: Slide 3 • A full economic analysis will be provided • Playground Construction and Equipment Installation Sister Company : Aardvark Recreation Inc , Mankhool,BurDubai, Dubai (UAE)
