North Gwinnett Middle School The following is the weighted grading scale utilized within the 7th grade science department: 40% Summative Assessments 20% Formative Assessments 35% Class work/Labs 5% Homework While the weighted total for homework is only 5%, the impact of that effort is magnified throughout the other categories. The significance of the effort given to homework should not be underestimated. Grading
