  3. Keys To Effective Networking Be genuine and authentic, build trust and relationships. Ask open-ended questions in conversations. Become known as a powerful resource. Have a clear understanding of what you do, why, for whom, and what makes what you do special or different from others doing the same. Be ready and able to articulate what you are seeking and how others may help you. Follow up with those you meet who may benefit from what you do, and vice versa.

RISE (formerly Treasure Valley Education Partnership) RISE is made up of representatives from area school districts, higher ed., business, CBOs such as YMCA and Boys and Girls Club, early childhood institutions, and foundations - all engaged to address vital community problems including: · 58% of children are entering kindergarten ready to read – the lowest performing district is just 29% · Few are reading on level by third grade – this is crucial as before third grade you learn to read, after you read to learn. And studies show if a child isn’t on level by third grade they suffer from then on, and, while high school graduation rates are very high · Just 25 percent of high school graduates will attain a degree within six years of high school graduation.
