Drive Around the World (DAW) Program SummaryMission & Goals The Mission is providing an integrated, global platform for participating countries to conduct annual Drives (Laps) across their country with these two major goals: - Create and maintain a global network of leaders in the automotive/motorsports and aerospace industries to raise awareness of and promote STEM Educ/Workforce Development for their related industries. -- Led by Virginia Tech (VT) Alumni and the US Department of Education. - Conduct a global charity program to benefit Veterans’ Unfunded Health Care local projects in each participating country -- Led by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #1068.

US Lap 2, Director Rob Mazzuca, EFI Enterprises - “Cannonball Run” type competition to return from San Diego to Wildwood. - Will further support DAW’s Veterans & STEM Education/Workforce Development efforts. International Laps - SMART International Group is facilitating Laps in participating Countries to support their Veterans and STEM Education/Workforce Development. - Current candidate countries are: -- Greece, Romania, Italy, West Africa, Ireland and several Caribbean Nations. Benefits include, but not limited to: - Speaking and Exhibits at the annual awards dinner on Capitol Hill - Logo decals on the cars and all promotional materials. - Video coverage & inclusion in the weekly, WIBG Veterans radio show, “Welcome Home Veterans”, national via the internet. - Promotions at each stop. - Other typical, national/international benefits will apply. - Invited to participate on the program management teams.
