  4. No CR# – Reconnaissance Type Question from eCom Technology Group 1. Does your company implement GS1 XML or EANCOM? 1. GS1 XML - 5%; EANCOM - 68%; GS1 XML and EANCOM - 26% 2. If you indicated that you use GS1 XML, are the Layers a benefit? Yes-20%; No - 30%; Not sure - 40%; Real difficulty of XML - No MIG; Yes, SBDH for AS2 identifiers and document type 3. Do you know of any component in the GS1 XML Layer, Message: Transaction and Command that is not used / useful? No - 45%; Not sure - 55%; Only SBDH and documentCommandOperand levels used 4. Would your company prefer if the GS1 XML Layers were: Unchanged and documented - 19%; Modified - 62%; Just SBDH and Document • Status: Same feedback being gathered from GDSN Architecture Team, Global Upstream Group; recommendation of eTG will be sought in January • At this time, no changes expected in release 3.0; they could be impactful to GDSN, but are looking at simplifying headers when it is possible. • If attributes will be dropped from lack of use, documentation will be published explaining that.
