  3. The Formatting Sequence • Select or highlight using; • Mouse • Keyboard by holding Shift down then highlight with arrow keys • Format • Confirm with OK to keep format change • or Cancel to lose formatting changes

  4. Formatting characters • Font • Point size • Bold • Italic • Underline

  5. Special characters • Insert, Symbol menu option from Word • Fonts include • Symbol • Webdings • Wingdings

  6. Formatting paragraphs • Indents • Ctrl+m to indent • Ctrl+Shift+m to remove indent • Numbering • Toolbar button: • Bullets • Toolbar button: • Space after • Format, Paragraph menu:

  12. Clipboard • Cut Ctrl+x • Highlighted text disappears to clipboard • Copy Ctrl+c • Highlighted text stays and gets copied to clipboard • Paste Ctrl+v • Whatever is in clipboard is added to document • Clipboard actions work between applications
