  3. What will we do? • Study the trail • Study the mushers • Select one team to follow • Create a wall-sized map of the trail and track the progress of your team using updates on the official site

  4. Here’s your task • Each time your team pulls into a new stop, you will post a message at a virtual checkpoint and complete a problem solving task related to the race.

  5. Time line • January 12 - February 13, 2009 • Create a wall map of the trail • February 16 - February 27, 2009 • Select a musher to follow in the race • March 2 - February 6, 2009 • Prepare for the big event • March 7, 2009 - end of the race: Follow your musher and post to each checkpoint's blog as he or she progresses!

  6. Group work • Group 1: work on labeling the maps; study in pairs. • Group 2: complete Canadian province brochure • Group 3: brainstorm the way to create a wall-sized map of the the trail. • Begin with a plan; put your plan into action.
