What if my organization does not have many Thrivent Members? Sign them up as Family Associate Members! • Recruit 10 to 15 donors to support your campaign and donate unrestricted funds to your organization • Be sure to send in these donations to be matched by GivingPlus™! • Have a kickoff promotion, where the seed donors offer testimonials and recruit Family Associate Members • Encourage each seed donor to recruit 5 to 10 Family Associate members each • If a donor is willing to donate only $100, suggest that they write one check to Thrivent Financial for $10 for the membership fee, and the remaining $90 to your organization. This way the organization will receive a total of $135!
What if a person cannot make the gift all at once? • Offer to accept pledges over a 10 month period ($5 to $35/mo) • $50 = $5/mo. X 10 mos. • $100 = $10/mo. X 10 mos. • $200 = $20/mo. X 10 mos. • $300 = $30/mo. X 10 mos. • $400 = $40/mo. X 10 mos. • $600 = $60/mo. X 10 mos. • Track the pledge payments, then submit the GivingPlus™ form when the contributions reach the maximum limit for the year
