OBJECTIVE The students will be able to apply the Incident Command System (ICS) to various emergency incident scenarios.
RESOURCE DETERMINATION Use all resources that are available to the participants on a regional basis: • Fire department • Emergency medical services (EMS) • Hazardous materials (haz mat) response • Non-fire agencies
PERSONNEL WITHOUT APPARATUS AS A RESOURCE • Crew: a specified number of personnel (without apparatus) who are assembled for a task and who have a common leader. • Crews should conform to normal span-of-control guidelines and are designated by name or function and number. • Crews are used like any other single resource.
A DEPARTMENT RESPONDS WITH: • 2 command officers • 2 engines staffed with 4 personnel • 12 additional personnel
