Cluster D Spiral 1 Goals • GENI/ORCA Clearinghouse • Established at RENCI • Used by each project • Each project with a substrate • Utilizes ORCA actors for control • Utilizes broker in clearinghouse at RENCI • Allows access by outside researchers • Layer 2 connection to backbone (I2 possible at UMass, $) • Measurement project?

Cluster D Spiral 2 Roadmap • Start with ORCA Integration Roadmap • Add input from all projects • Consider inclusion of ORBIT sites (Cluster E) as substrates in Cluster D • Need consensus • Needs to be completed by mid-July • Via email, calls, video and meetings • Final meeting 6/29 -7/10 • Need agreement by all PIs • Will drive year 2 contracts

Cluster D Tasks to End of Spiral 1 • ORCA • Release ORCA code (first, ongoing) • Use SOAP messages (first, ongoing) • Setup clearinghouse at RENCI (by 8/1) • Each substrate project (BEN, DOME, ViSE, Kansei) • Setup container of ORCA actors (done) • Formulate resource description and policies for their substrate • Integrate researcher portal and substrate with ORCA actors • Upgrade ORCA actors to support SOAP messages • Move broker to RENCI • Allow outside GENI researchers (due 10/1)

BEN Tasks to End of Spiral 1 • Setup container of ORCA actors (done) • Formulate resource description and policies for substrate (some, check point by 7/1) • Integrate researcher portal and substrate (NLR and BEN) with ORCA actors (started, checkpoint by 7/1) • Upgrade ORCA actors to support secure SOAP messages (by 7/1) • Move broker to RENCI (by 8/1) • Allow outside GENI researchers (by 10/1)

DOME Tasks to End of Spiral 1 • Setup container of ORCA actors (done) • Formulate resource description and policies for substrate (done) • Integrate researcher portal and substrate with ORCA actors (done) • Upgrade ORCA actors to support secure SOAP messages (by 6/15?) • Move broker to RENCI (by 8/15?) • Allow outside GENI researchers (due 10/1)
