Carlow Kilkenny • History of our network • Formed in may 1999 with 10 manufacturing companies in the Carlow and Kilkenny region to meet the training and development needs of the companies and facilitate networked learning • Has successfully competed for three rounds of funding from Skillnets ltd • Has a membership base of 85 companies in 2006
Carlow Kilkenny • Partnership agreement with Athy and Kilkenny Chambers of Commerce to design, deliver and evaluate training and development indicatives in the region • Has a 5 year licence agreement with FETAC to run national accredited programmes • Has a trainee target of 400 participants per year on courses and 550 participants on events and seminars linked to business goals and needs
Carlow Kilkenny • First skillnet to receive excellence through people certification • Links with Carlow Equal by board membership • Access to 300 companies through the chamber membership structure • Partnership with Carlow and Kilkenny VECs • Partnership with Carlow County council and community agencies ( 13 in total )
