Resources/General • What is your attitude towards remarketing? • Administrative – accurate billing and title process. Do you have someone competent and dedicated? Cash Flow….. • Financial Controls
Sales & Marketing • Should you have a dedicated person selling? How much time currently are you dedicating to this effort? • Upstream sales • Consistency (lists, procedures, etc.) • Be responsive! • What is the remarketing culture throughout your organization? Ground cars quickly? • What are your typical remarketing channels?
Functionality • Condition of cars – Set proper expectations • Who is responsible for inspection? • Equipment – a little can bring a lot • Keys – more important than ever • Timeliness of transaction (Billing, Grounded, etc.) Keep in good communication! • Especially important in a rapidly changing market • CARFAX
Technology/Auctions • Are you familiar with/set up/comfortable with the major online auctions? What about AiM for multiple posting ability? • Be aware of what’s driving the market Example of resources • Ship cars to hot markets? • Develop a good reputation – it’s a small world out there whether you think so or not
