DAM/RUC 4.9.1 Testing: Testing Window • QSE’s should have already have signed up via email for a testing window • Testing Window includes: • 2 hour support and scripted testing call • Resolution of issues during the 2 hour support call • 7 day testing window for prioritized support and self guided testing • Self guided testing are test scenarios that the QSE has defined and executes independently in the EDS environment • See Appendix for • Connectivity/Digital Certificate information • Sign-up email to eds4@ercot.com http://nodal.ercot.com 6

DAM/RUC 4.9.1 Testing: Support Calls (continued…) • QSE’s using Web Services • Will perform all test scenarios on the web services during support call • Will perform a subset of scenarios on the MIS UI independently within 1 week of support call • Once MIS UI scenarios are complete, QSE will notify ERCOT • ERCOT will validate MIS UI submitted transactions • QSE’s using the MIS User Interface • Will perform all test scenarios on MIS User Interface during the support call • Validation will take place on the support call http://nodal.ercot.com 8

DAM/RUC 4.9.1 Reference: QSE Data Preparation Download Settlement Points and QSE Short Name List (both files posted on Readiness- http://nodal.ercot.com/readiness/eds4/documents/index.html) • QSE Short Names used in transactions • Your QSE short name is needed as <source> in XML Header • All QSE short names listed, but may change • Can use ERCOT test QSE of “TSTQSE” to avoid populating and changing QSE list in your systems • Settlement Point used as points of business in submission testing • Naming examples -> http://nodal.ercot.com 15

DAM/RUC 4.9.1 Testing: Digital Certificates • 1 digital certificate w/ a Generic Userid (NODALTEST) will be Generated for Each QSE and Sub-QSE • The MP’s USA does not need to take any action • This is the only certificate that will work in the EDS environment • This certificate will also work in the Nodal Sandbox environment • It will not work in production, MOTE, or any other ERCOT environment • The Digital Certificate will be sent to the MP USA • Distribution will occur after the QSE signs up for a Testing Window and Just Prior to the Support Call • (for those requiring the basic communications test, it will be sent prior to that session) • All valid ERCOT issued digital certificates will continue to work in the Nodal Sandbox http://nodal.ercot.com 22
