Asian-American Civil rights organizations • Focus on improving quality of life, establish a stronger, more respected identity in the US, and increase cooperation between ethnic Asian groups • Asian-American Justice Center • Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance • Organizations are less established than Latino counterparts
Accessibility • Language- concerns of both Asian and Latina/o civil rights organizations • Different dialects/languages that make accessibility to documents easier for immigrants from various part of Asia • Translation of legal documents/ballots • Interpretation of legal jargon • Language barrier in accessing social services • Ballot language and explanation important for voting.
