Option1 Methyl methacrylate Remove inhibitor with alumina Filter Add 0.1% catalyst & mix Pour Warm to 50°C Bag in dry N2 Leave for 7days Repeat 10000 times Book 2 months leave Option 2 BC600 optical cement Mix the 2 components 10:2.8 Pour Leave overnight Repeat 10000 times Book a week’s leave The solution – cast a transparent shell to fill the gap

  3. Testing • Methyl methacrylate remained as gel (partial cure) after 5 days. • BC600 optical cement fully cured after 16 hours – some small bubbles
