A detailed system outlining expectations and privileges for students at different levels - Gold, Silver, Bronze - in terms of grades, behavior, tardiness, and contacts. Students progress or regress weekly based on their conduct, attendance, and academic performance. Rewards are given for maintaining Gold level consistently. Assignment book management, grading procedures, and leveling rules are clearly defined and must be followed diligently. The goal is to encourage positive behavior and choices.

What level will you be? 6th Grade Leveling System
Gold Level Expectations • No work contacts or behavior contacts • Everyone gets a five punch Emergency card to use each semester (one punch per class) some exceptions do apply. • No D’s or F’s on weekly grades • No more than 1 tardy per week
Silver Level Expectations • Only one work contact • No F’s on weekly reports • No more than 2 tardies per week • Only one behavior contact .
Bronze level Expectations • Anything more than listed above. • Any office visit
Bronze Level Privileges • Regular lunch time. • 3 minutes passing in the hall. • Regular STAT. • TA socialization on Friday. • Locker, restroom, nurse, counselor, & office with assignment book.
Silver Level Privileges • Bronze privileges + • Socialization after lunch on Tuesday and Thursday/TA socialization. • Locker, restroom, nurse, counselor, & office with assignment book.
Gold Level Privileges • Bronze and Silver level privileges • Walk after Lunch/socialization/TA socialization • Locker, restroom, nurse, counselor, office with assignment book. • Monthly/quarterly rewards.
Privileges • Triple Gold reward: • We reward the students who have been gold for three weeks in a row this is called triple gold. Triple gold is rewarded three times a quarter. • Solid Gold reward: • Students who have been gold all quarter long will be rewarded at the end of the each quarter. • Solid Gold all year: • At the end of the year students who have been gold all year long get a special reward!
Assignment Book • It is really important you have your assignment book with you at all times! • You must fill it out and have the teacher initial it before you leave a classroom and you should take the assignment book with you when you leave. Even to the bathroom! • Don’t ask to leave the room if you haven’t filled out your assignment book! • Come prepared to class because once you run out of lines on your passcard you will be bronze for the day!
Leveling: changes every week • Tuesday morning you will open your assignment book to the current passcard and give it to your TA teacher • Your teacher will look at your grades and your work and behavior contacts and she will record your level on your passcard. This will be your level for the remainder of the week. • If you are gone on Tuesday it is your responsibility to give your assignment book to your TA teacher to be leveled the first morning you return to school. • Failure to do this by Thursday of the same week could result in you missing out on scheduled rewards.
Leveling • You start new at the beginning of each quarter. • However, your contacts from the last week of the quarter will affect your level the first week of the next quarter. • Your grades from the last week of quarter will not carry over.
Grades • Grades are given the last day of every week minus the first week or two of every quarter. • We will all be prepared to give you grades on the last day of the week but it is your responsibility to make sure you have a grade before you leave the classroom. • Failure to get your grades before Tuesday TA will result and being Bronze level the next week. • All grades must be written on your grade sheet. We will not give you grades on anything else. If you have lost your passcard or it has fallen our of your assignment book, then ask your TA teacher for a new passcard before Friday second hour. Failure to do this will result in being Bronze level the following week. we will not level you if your grades are on anything else.
Grades • If you are absent on the day grades are given then you will remain the color of the previous week until you get your grades from your teachers as you precede through the day. • We level on Tuesday so if you are here on Monday get your grades! • You will not be allowed to go get grades during TA time. • You will be leveled at the end of the day by your advisor or the next morning during TA.
Questions? • We know this is a little confusing, but you will get used to the process. • The point of our leveling system is to reward the kids who make good choices all the time. • We want you all to be gold!!!!
