NPRR119 – Resource Limit Calculator • SPR1643 via EDS Accelerated Issue Resolution Process presented to TPTF on Feb 22 • SPR 1643 implemented in ERCOT’s software and deployed to EDS in early April • Request TPTF consider vote on NPRR119 to complete the EDS Accelerated Issue Resolution Process : • 6.5.7.2 (8) For Generation Resources, LDL is calculated as follows: • LDL= Min{Max (POWERTELEM - (SDRAMP * 5), LASL), HSL} • NPRR119 http://nodal.ercot.com 3

LFC Handbook Revision and EM05 Results • Requested Revision: • To complete the seven day continuous test, the Nodal ACE must closely follow the current Zonal ACE and respond to the frequency changes as expected.  To achieve this, the performance will be validated using the ACE and frequency data recorded from each of the seven continuous days.  ERCOT will provide correlation results of the Zonal and Nodal recorded frequencies and ACE calculations to help identify and address any low performance intervals.  When all low performance periods have been addressed, the ACE verification will be complete. • Results captured and analyzed for 3/16 through 3/22 and posted for comment in late March • 06- EDS ACE Results • Request Vote on revised handbook v1.02 and EM05 results http://nodal.ercot.com 4

Nodal EECP Testing Objectives • The focus of the test will be on ERCOT’s ability to communicate with the Market Participants in case of an emergency • The following Emergency Conditions will be tested • Failure of SCED Process • Emergency Communications • Operating Condition Notice • Advisory • Alert • Emergency Notice • General Procedures Prior to EECP • EECP Steps 1 through 4 • Restoration of Market Operations • Testing will be conducted in late July 2008 • All QSEs with Resources and TSPs are required to participate in the testing • ERCOT and MP ability to send / receive communications through hotline, XML and MIS will be tested All communications issued will be for test purposes only and are intended to simulate real world conditions http://nodal.ercot.com 5
