  1. CIITS EDS PD Teacher Professional Development

PD Search • To find appropriate and approved PD, Teachers should log into CIITS and click on the Educator Development Suite (EDS); then click on PD Search. • Approved School and District PD opportunities will be listed • Several ‘KY’ affiliated organizations PD sessions, i.e., KDE, KASA, KASC, SESC and other Coops, etc. will be listed in CIITS. • Other school/district PD opportunities may be listed • ALL Flexible PD must be approved by the Principal • Screen Shots follow

PD Search • There are several ways to search for appropriate PD under PD Search • By date of the session using the calendar feature • Select My Institution – to narrow search • Type in the specific name of the PD session/course • Search by content area, grade level, key word/idea, by various standards, etc. • Screen shots follow • ALL Flexible PD must be approved by Principal • Reference Approval for In-District PD form

PD Registration • Once an appropriate and approved PD has been located in CIITS, a Teacher can register to attend the PD • Once registered, you will receive an email confirmation. • Your name will be added to the Attendance Sheet; teachers should sign by their name upon attendance to the PD *Walk-in registration to a PD is acceptable as long as Principal approves attendance to PD • ALL Flexible PD MUST be approved by the Principal • MUST Sign-in upon attendance • I-Pad and/or computer may be available to register at the PD • Most PD defaults to close registration the day after PD occurs

PD Credit • After PD has occurred, teachers who registered to attend will be notified in CIITS EDS under Dashboard to complete an Evaluation of the PD. • *If Walk-in Attendee - Need to register in CIITS on-site, if available, or the day after • Must complete the PD Evaluation in order to receive credit for the PD

  9. PD Credit • Complete the Evaluation and Submit • Will receive confirmation of submission of evaluation • Will no longer show as a form to be completed on your Dashboard • PD Credit will be awarded and reflected on ‘PD transcript’ (My PD Profile in CIITS EDS Dashboard)

PD Credit • IF PD is out-of-the-district, Teachers must seek approval from Principal – then follow above described procedures • Reference Out-of-District PD/Travel Authorization form • In addition to completing a PD Evaluation, a certificate of attendance or copy of the sign-in sheet, etc. MUST be submitted to Kelly Greene at the Garland Building in order to receive credit for the PD • Out-of-State travel requires BOE approval
