Simple Subject • What do you already know about complete subjects and complete predicates? • The main word (or words) in the complete subject is called the simple subject. • Noun or Pronoun
Simple Predicate • The main word or words in a complete predicate is the simple predicate. • The simple predicate is made up of at least one verb, a word that shows action or being. • The main verb may have one or more helping verbs.
