  1. Using WS_FTP: Step 1 click the ‘Start’ button and choose the Ws_ftpLE option and then

  2. Using WS_FTP: Step 2 (Optional) Choose a profile name such as:my_ftp_profile type in domain name or IP address (ited.hkbu.edu.hk) of your web server type in your user id and password and click ‘Apply’ and then press ‘OK’

  3. Using WS_FTP: Step 3 Choose the type of file being transferred, i.e. either ACII or Binary. If you are not sure, click ‘Auto’

  4. Using WS_FTP: Step 4 The right pane shows the directory on you remote computer. The left pane lists out the directories in your local computer Choose the correct location of the file that you want to transfer by clicking ‘ChgDir’ and typing in e.g. c:\temp Then press ‘OK’

  5. Using WS_FTP: Step 5 You need to choose the correct location where you want to put your file To do that, double click the desired folder icon, say, ‘sandyli’, then the ‘icons’

  6. Using WS_FTP: Step 6 To transfer file from the local computer to the remote site, you should ‘click’ the chosen file name on the left pane and press the
