  2. All the members of the family make religious celebrations and they eat traditional food. The holidays in Greece are from December 24 to January 8.

  3. On December 24 the children get up early, they take a bag and a stick, and they go from house in house, singing, playing instruments and taking dried fruits and cookies.

  4. The children play the triangle and the battery, recite poems and sing Christmas carols. In the night, the people have dinner in his houses.

  5. On December 25 they celebrated Jesus´s birth, and the whole world gets up early to go to the church. Later they meet and they eat stuffed turkey with dried fruits or meat of pork.

  6. The day of Christmas they meet to open the gifts. In Greece there isn´t Christmas tree. They decorate the houses with ships of wood.

  7. On January 1 (New Year) they celebrated San Basilio, who brings gifts to the children and later they eat a sweet bread with a currency inside (spice a of cake with a king inside). The one that finds the currency will have a happy year.

  8. On January 6 they go to the church and they throw cold water to recover of all the diseases. This party is called "Ta Fota".
