What kind of cells… • The golgi apparatus is in all eukaryotic cells • The cytoskeleton is in both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells
Location of the Organelles • Thegolgi apparatus in a plant and animal cell, is found floating in the cytoplasm • The cytoskeleton is found floating in the cytoplasm as well, but is attached to most organelles
Functions of the Organelles • The golgi apparatus receives vesicles from the Rough ER and modifies them. The contents are modified with instructions of where their next location in the cell will be. • The cytoskeleton determines the shape of the cell, forms a network of highways for vesicle movement, and acts as a frame for proteins to connect to.
What Role Would the OrganellesHave • The golgiapparatus is like the distribution part of a factory because it prepares things for export out of a cell or for transport to other locations. • The cytoskeleton is like the supports for the factory because it provides a frame for the cell and determines the shape of the cell.
