Review of Affirmative/Positive Commands: • Tell someone what to do. • Used with a person you would speak to using the Tú form. The (+) command form of the verb is created by: • Using the él/ella form of the verb. • Ex. Hablar ¡Habla! = speak/talk!
Make these into (+) commands: • Eat (comer) • Drink (beber) • Dance (bailar) • Sing (cantar) • ¡Come! • ¡Bebe! • ¡Baila! • ¡Canta!

NegativeInformalCommands: • Tells someone what NOT to do. • Used with people you refer to as Tú. To form the negative (-) command of AR verbs: • Drop the o from the yo form and add es. • Add NO before the verb. • Ex. (yo) fumo ¡no fumes! = Don’t smoke!
Make these into (-) commands: • Don’t sing! • Don’t dance! • Don’t talk! • Don’t play! • ¡No cantes! • ¡No bailes! • ¡No hables! • ¡No jueges!
Negative Informal Commands: To form the negative(-) command of ER/IR verbs: • Drop the o from the yo form and add as. • Add NO before the verb. • Ex. (yo) duermo ¡No duermas! = Don’t sleep! *The irregular (-) verb commands are: Dar no des ser no seas Ir no vayas

Direct Object & Reflexive Pronoun Placement: • Direct Object Pronouns (lo, la, los, las) and Reflexive Pronouns (me, te, se, nos, os, se) are placed: • Attached to the end of affirmative (+) commands • Ex. Levántate or Cómelo • Between No and the verb for negative (-) commands. • Ex. No te levantes or No lo comas
