August 25, 2010 IMS-PIC Activities IMS-PIC Releases • IMS-PIC typically now has two releases per year – spring and fall • Release 7.0 (April 2010) introduced changes to unit and tenant statuses for capital and operating fund purposes • Release 7.1 (September 2010) overlapping functionality between 50058 and MTW • Release 7.2 (April 2011) limited to maintenance

IMS-PIC Activities August 25, 2010 • Asset Management • Development Number Reformulations • Replaced old development no. with AMP • No changes to 50058 upload format • Changed data, not coding • Converted all IMS-PIC development numbers in April 2008 • All PH forms must use the AMP 9
IMS-PIC Activities August 25, 2010 • Asset Management • Weighted average DOFAs for new developments (the Cap Fund step-by-step guide provides a good explanation of how this was done) • HAs can now propose Asset Management Development Regroupings thru the Maintain Inventory tab (changes are effective at the next FYB) 10

IMS-PIC Activities August 25, 2010 • PIC Building/Unit Data Use • Physical Inspections – PASS inspectors use current IMS-PIC data • Cap Fund – formula uses IMS-PIC data for calculating CFP grants and RHF • Op Fund – Will begin using IMS-PIC occupancy data in 2011 • Accuracy of the data is essential 13
IMS-PIC Activities August 25, 2010 • Building and Unit Data Clean-up • Emphasis placed on identifying and reoccupying vacancies • 98% “clean” by 12/31/2011 • Data testing to identify new bldg & unit data discrepancies for follow-up • Reports on Unit Tenant Status and Unit Aging being modified for field office monitoring 14
IMS-PIC Activities August 25, 2010 • User Recertification • To begin late spring 2011 • Semi-annual recertification • Done online – no paper • HA IMS-PIC Security Administrator recertifies HA Users, FO Administrator recertifies HA Security Admins, etc… 15

IMS-PIC Activities August 25, 2010 • Unit Tenant Status • Accurately capture the state of a unit over time • Data archived, not overwritten • Op Fund will use this data in the funding calculation • Units vacated thru a 50058 EOP or other change of unit do not require HA modification 17
IMS-PIC Activities August 25, 2010 • Transitioned PICHelp to REAC-TAC • PICHelp backlog and knowledgebase was not transitioned due to contractor dispute • Hiring and training additional TAC IMS-PIC support specialists constantly • Established goal to drastically lower response times and improve service levels. • REAC-TAC now supports all PIH systems 18
