Damage. • This powerful earthquake killed over 830,000 human beings. • In Huaxian it destroyed nearly every building in the area. • The Forest of stone had 40 Kaicheng stone monuments destroyed in the massive 1556 earthquake.
Death. • More then 60% of the population was demolished by the Earth quake. • The death toll was 820,000+ and the Economy suffered as well. • Later slides will show the effect of the Animals in Huaxian and ShaanXii.
Comparison. China today. China in 1556
Animals. • Many animals as well were injured or killed in this Earthquake. • As far as humans know 500-1,000 animals were injured or killed. • Animals that were injured were Fish,Panda and many other Tropical species.
Economy effect. • Much money was lost from the various medical and death tolls the Chinese government had to pay. • The government effect was a great number from these various human services.
FACTS. • The P waves are the first wave and cause a warning to the people above. • Then the S waves quickly pass by making the first few effects. • The surface waves are the slowest and deadliest of the three.
Preventation • A few ways to prevent this is to make strongholds or shelters for ahead effects of earthquakes. • Tell parents:Tell your family to evacuate the premises and get quickly to saftey.
Religious effect • Many churches were crumbled and TOPPLED from the Earth quake. • Mythical lore was often forgotten by the damage for the people in ShanXii were too devastated to work on religion. • The change of religious effect made it hard for most to find “faith” as the 1556 chinese would call it.
COMMON SOCIETY. • Some became slowly “insane” for the idea of their home being lost. • Many children started having “fits” or tantrums. • If society of the ShanXii could have known of this was coming better preparation would have been in complete order.
Conclusion! • All in all if this didn’t happen China today could have problems with preparing for earth quakes. • THE END!
