Mt.Vesuvius • In AD 79 Mount Vesuvius erupted . • Ash and pumice covered the sky to create an ash cloud. • People suffocated and died. • The people did not know it was a volcano.
Pompeii • Pompeii was a place near Mount Vesuvius. • Pompeii had a population of between 1000 and 2000 people. • None of them knew Mount Vesuvius was a volcano at the time.
The eruption • The eruption was a very strange one because there was no lava involved. • It was known as one of the worst in the world . • It would take a long time to clear up the mess.
The Biggest Volcano in the World • Mauna Loa is the biggest volcano in the world. • It’s in Hawai’i. • It’s a shield volcano.
Ring Of Fire • The ring of fire is in the Pacific Ocean. • It’s shaped like a ring. • There are 452 both active and dormant volcanoes in the ring of fire. • I wouldn’t like to live there!
Evaluation • I think I could have included more facts about the ring of fire. • I should have put sound on all of my slides • I think my picture page was good
