  1. Indian Creek Pre-KNewsletter September 15-19 Classroom News Our first unit is School. Our main concept is Feelings. It is important our children to learn how to process their feelings in a positive way. We will stress this week that feeling are good to have but it is how we deal with them that is important. We are going to be working with these words: happy, sad, grumpy, mad, care , hug, tear, nice, mean, afraid We are looking and listening for the words and concepts though out the day. • We will be reading the following books this week : • Today I Feel Silly by Jamie Lee Curtis • The Very Grouchy Ladybug by EricCarle • The Missing Piece Meets the Big O by ShelSilverstien . In small groups we are matching letters-Upper case to lower case. We are going to be working on position words- over, under, above, on, beside ,next to, between ,in front of, near and far. This fun Friday we are going to make orange faces, our students will be using fruit and candy to make an edible face showing an emotion. We will start bringing home a library book this week. We will send notices home from the lunch room as needed. Please remember drop off and pick up times. We sometimes have meetings to attend between sessions and after school. Morning Session: ARRIVAL 7:20AM DEPARTURE 10:45AM Afternoon Session: ARRIVAL 11:40 AM DEPARTURE PM 2:45 PM. Use our U-shaped drive way by the Pre-k door. With children present –PLEASE SLOW DOWN, SINGLE LINE and NO U-TURNS. We will try to get you in and out as soon as possible. Our key concern is SAFETY.
