  2. Marriage is definitely a dream of all individual. However, in most of the marriages, the surname of women changes and needs to be updated in the Aadhar Card. Some people also move to a new city and wish not to have old details on Aadhar. In these cases, Aadhar details should be updated with the new details. For this, UIDAI has introduced Adhar Card Correction where a self-service update portal is available over the internet where an individual can update the details after the marriage or moving to a new location. For this update, it is necessary to have a registered mobile number for the OTP (One Time Pin).

  3. In the case of mobile number is changed, it is necessary to update it or choose an alternative option. In this, the individual has to visit the nearest update centre or file for the changes through a post. With this, it is easy to make correction or changes in the name, surname and other details in Aadhar card using the offline and offline methods. Online method is the most reliable and fast to make any changes when needed. In order to file for the changes, it is necessary to facilitate a self-attested proof of documents that are needed. Mention your name beneath the signature and in case of children below 5 years, guardians can fill the form and submit the documents.

Ensure to provide the registered mobile number Self attest the support document for the name, address date of birth and other details that needs to be updated Send the duly signed form and supporting documents in envelop at UIDAI mailing address Upon successful updating of the documents and forms, the details will be updated and a corrected Aadhar card will be sent to your physical mailing address Thus, choose the most feasible update method to make the necessary corrections/update on the Aadhar card.
