ADULT SCOUTER KNOTS • The purpose of Knot awards is to recognize adult scoutersfor training and service to the Boy Scouts of America and beyond• In 1946 the first six square knot awards were announced • Knot awards are worn on the Scouting uniform in place of the plaque, pendant, or medal that they represent.

  18. ADULT SCOUTER KNOTS What Are They? Small patch with an embroidered knot that you sew onto your uniform; sometimes there’s a small pin added.
