Injector Wall Region Design • Beamline segment piercing Injector vault shielding wall. • Includes valves, quadrupoles, OTRs, wire scanners, BPMs, pumps, gages, support stands, vacuum chambers. • Beamline layout assembled into wall assembly model. • Design effort broken into diagnostics, magnets, vacuum and integration. • Quadrupole Req April 15, 2005 • OTR body ready for vendor bid. • Wire scanner in design evaluation. • Installation scheduled October 2005
Beam Stopper • The Beam Stopper is the first device on the Linac side of the shielding wall. • It protects the Sector 20 Vault area from radiation from the Linac. • It is essential that it is in place for installation to proceed in the vault in January 2006

Adjustable stage for each device Copy of a T minus 1 stage adjustable in 6 Degrees of Freedom
Vacuum Components • Bulk purchase agreements for injector/linac vacuum components are in final negotiations • Ion Pumps and Conflat Flanges will be purchased from Varian through Wildflower International • Vacuum Gauges will be purchased from MKS (and LCLS Controls will buy the controllers from MKS) • Pump-out Valves will be purchased from VAT
Injector Waveguide Design • Waveguide network feeds gun, Structures L0a & L0b, and T-Cav • Gun and structures fed from Li-20-6, 7 & 8 klystrons, T-Cav fed from Li-20-5d structure exhaust. • 3-D Layout integrated into Injector system assembly • Design effort broken into penetration-wall runs, Gallery and Vault runs. • Installation penetration-wall October ’05 • Installation Vault & Gallery Spring ’06

Injector Heater Region Design • Beamline segment Between Accelerators and Shielding Wall • Includes laser heater, transverse structure, dipoles, quads, correctors otrs. • Partial installation scheduled January 2006 • Undulator and Laser Heater scheduled for Summer 2007
Injector Accelerator Region Design • Beamline segment between Gun Area and Heater Area • Includes accelerators, solenoid, quads, correctors, BPM’s. • Installation scheduled March 2006
Injector Gun Region Design • RF Gun being designed and built in-house • Solenoid magnet designed and getting minor revisions • Spectrometer includes OTR’s, toroids, quads, bend, Faraday cups, etc. • Installation scheduled April 2006
