The IMPERFECT Tense Examples So, let’s use some of the earlier sentences together with an adverb of time & frequency to improve our Imperfect sentences Chaque semaine j’allais chez ma tante Every week I used to go to my aunt’s house Le weekend je ne faisais pas mes devoirs At the weekend I never used to do my homework Quand j’étais jeune je voulais être prof de français When I was young I used to want to be a French teacher Dans le passé je n’aimais pas aller à l’école In the past I did not use to like going to school
