Admission to UW Campuses • College preparatory coursework taken in high school • High school rank in class • Grade point average • Standardized test results • Other pertinent academic information • Student experiences, work experiences, leadership qualities, motivation, community service, special talents and /or other factors may also be considered

6. Making the Grade Academic factors remain the most important consideration in making admissions decisions. UW campuses review each applicant comprehensively to determine admission and likelihood of success at their campus. College Prep Electives Electives may be chosen from the core areas (English, mathematics, natural science and social science), fine arts, computer science, foreign language and other academic areas. UW-Eau ClaireandUW-Madisonrequire a minimum two years of a single foreign language for admission.

9. Testing • All UW System campuses require receipt of ACT or SAT scores prior to making an admit decision. • The ACT is preferred by most UW System campuses. All campuses will accept either ACT or SAT. • Recommend students take the ACT or SAT in the spring of their junior year. • Minimum score guidelines vary at each campus.

10.
