Events review From January 5th 2010 the first staff jumped to now, foxconn has happened 14 jump events. It has caused the attention of the society even all over the world. • LingRongYing, 21 years old, who comes from the Shanxi province jumped from the high building and died • November 5th 2010, a 23-year-old male workers committed suicide in Foxconn.
On May 27th 2010 , one employees commit suicide. Foxconn HongTai worker in the dorm, cut with wrist plan suicide. The employees send the longhua people's hospital emergency rescue, has never been in danger ". • On May this year foxconn happened "the 10 jump", the dead for the 21 year old male employees ……
What are the reasons for this phenomenon? 1.The company • The human resources management in Foxconn is extensive, cold, lack of people-oriented. • It is banned to talk with each other during working and didn’t allow the employees live with their members. It is severely influenced the relationship between friends.
The working hour is too long and the workers must work overtime or they will have less money. The long working hour makes enployees have no time to relax themselves.
2.The employees Most of the workers are the Second generation migrant workers. Because of the different social environment from their elders, and they are always the only child in their families, the younger employees have lower bear ability.
3.The government The government didn’t pay more attention to the problem of staff social security .
How to deal with the Foxconn event? • The government should do In order to solve this problem, the most important thing that the government should do is to set up a series of Social security system to narrow the Gap between urban and rural and establishes a openness, fairness and justice government.
The enterprise should do Establishing psychological counselling mechanism and hiring the psychological teacher to adjust the employees unease. Reorganizing the inside management mechanism and carrying out a more humanized policy and build a relaxing working atmosphere for workers.
The emplyees shoud do As the staff of the company, employees should enhance their compressive capacity. When being in trouble, they should turn their friends for help as well as the government, not only just thinking suicide. During the spare time, maybe do some exercise would be beneficial to ease the pressure.
