Accomplishments #1 • He was known for writing 150 philosophical treaties. • The 30 that survived contacted on a large range oh philosophical problems, ranging from biology and physics to morals to aesthetics to politics. • People regarded him as the best philosopher of all time. Aristotle was also the most extraordinary product of the educational program devised by Plato.
Accomplishments #2 • When Plato died, Aristotle returned to his hometown and he was supposed to have participated in the schooling of Philip's son, Alexander the Great. He came back to Athens with Alexander's approval in 335 BC and started his own school at the Lyceum. He was spending most of the rest of his life occupied there in research, teaching, and writing.
Accomplishments #3 • In the middle ages Aristotle's work was soon discovered again and claimed by medieval scholars. They would call him Ille Philosophus (The Philosopher), or "the master of them that know.“ • Many excepted every word of his writing, except for the ones that had come from the bible.
