Introduction • The Mississippi river is the largest river in America. • It starts up in the mountains and flows through gorges and waterfalls and past muddy swamps and many houses. • The Mississippi river has a length of 2,320 miles. • The Mississippi drains most of the area between the Rocky Mountains except the areas drained by Hudson Bay. • The river starts in Minnesota and then empties into the Gulf of Mexico. click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mississippi_River

  3. Wildlife in Mississppi It has many wooded islands with hardwood forests and wildlife like sloths, canvasback ducks, Tundra swans, white-tailed deer and muskrats. Click here to find out more
