OCEAN AFRICA CONTAINER LINES • An independently operated joint venture between Safmarine and The Grindrod Group • Ocean Africa operates 8 vessels between Luanda in Angola and Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania • We are a common feeder operator carrying containers on behalf of all main line operators active in Southern Africa • We also cater to direct shipper requirements for ocean carriage within our port range utilising our fleet of around 6,000 containers

OUR PRESENCE IN MOZAMBIQUE Mozline Mozline is a Mozambique domiciled shipping line catering to domestic cargo between the ports of Maputo, Beira and Nacala. Ocean Africa is the majority shareholder in Mozline
THE ROLE OF THE FEEDER OPERATOR • CONNECTING MAPUTO TO THE HUB PORTS OF DURBAN, DAR AND PORT LOUIS. • IN MOST CASES WE WILL BE CONTRACTED BY THE MAINLINE OPERATORS TO CARRY THEIR CONTAINERS, WE WILL NOT OFTEN HAVE A DIRECT CONTRACTUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CARGO INTEREST • AS A COMMON CARRIER COMBINING THE FEEDER REQUIREMENTS OF SEVERAL MAINLINERS TO CREATE ECONOMY OF SCALE. • A WEEKLY FREQUENCY BETWEEN MAPUTO AND PORT LOUIS WILL REQUIRE 2 VESSELS ON A 14 DAY ROTATION. THIS REPRESENTS AN ANNUAL FIXED COST OF AROUND USD 14 MILLION.
