Annotations are reflections/notes about the novel that fall under one of the following categories: • Theme • Metaphor • Symbols • Conflict • Predictions • Imagery • Foreshadowing • Plot • Atmosphere, mood and tone

  3. Annotation Exemplars • Please do not write directly in your book on the pages; use sticky notes or secured slips of paper An example of great annotating, but Please do not write on our books. They Need to last us a long time 
