Lisa Berrios Lisa Berrios, from Centerport, NY, is a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy Academy. She was a member of the National Honor Society. Lisa was a four-year Scholar Athlete and she won the Wendy’s Heisman Award. Lisa was Captain of the Varsity soccer team, played Varsity Badminton, and was All-League in both sports. She was President of the Spanish Club, a Eucharistic minister, a member of SADD, and was selected for the Leaders’ Club. Lisa is attending the University of Delaware, and is a nursing major. Her father is a retired member of the FDNY. .
Claire Buser Claire Buser from Babylon, NY is a graduate of Babylon High School. She was an active member of the Student Council, Class Cabinet, DECA, and Symphonic Winds, for which she played first flute. She was also an integral part of the Honor Society, as well as the National Business, Science, and Spanish Honor societies. In addition, Claire was the captain of her Varsity Cheerleading team. Claire is currently attending the College of William and Mary with plans to study English and Biology. Her father recently retired from the FDNY with 20 years of service. Claire would like to thank both the Lynch family and the committee for the tremendous support along her academic journey. .
Jaclyn Calia Jaclyn Calia from Manalapan, NJ is a graduate of Freehold Borough High School. There she was a member of the Medical-Sciences Learning Center, the National Honor Society, and the Italian Honor Society. She was also a member of the Girls’ Soccer team and the Lead for Diversity club. She is attending Villanova University where she is majoring in Biology and pursuing her goal to enter Dental School. Her father worked at Cantor Fitzgerald and lost his life on September 11th, 2001. .

Chelsea Collins Chelsea Collins from Goshen, NY is a graduate of Goshen High School. While attending high school, Chelsea was a member of National Honors Society and the Goshen High School Musicals. She also participated in the Ski and Drama Clubs. In addition, Chelsea is a life time member of Girl Scouting, having earned all three of its highest honors, culminating with the Girl Scout Gold Award. With the assistance of the MLMF Scholarship Award, Chelsea is presently attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, majoring in Fashion Design. She hopes to someday become a costume designer in theater or movies. Her father is a Lieutenant with Ladder 10, which is located at the World Trade Center. .
Amy Gardner Amy Gardner from Oceanside, New York is a graduate of Oceanside High School. She was the Vice President of her Senior Class and organized a successful bike donation for the children of Haiti in May of 2010. She has won several filmmaking awards in her junior and senior year including the PTA Reflections Regional competition. Due to her father’s death as a firefighter in the September 11th attacks, she has done much traveling through Tuesday’s Children such as: performing community service in Costa Rica, and a sponsored trip to Oxford, England by the British Counsel. She has spent her last few summers at America’s Camp, where she now has become a counselor for the camp. She is attending Quinnipiac University to pursue her degree in film and become a photo journalist. .
Taylor Ginley Taylor Ginley from Warwick, NY is a graduate of Warwick Valley High School. She was a high Honor Roll student throughout her high school career and was a member of Jockey Hollow Pony Club for four years. She also rode her horse every day after school and competed in local competitions, including qualifying for Nationals in Lexington, Virginia. She is attending Florida International University where she is majoring in Chemistry with a certificate in Forensics. Her father was a member of the FDNY and lost his life on 9/11. .
Michael House Michael House fromMontgomery, NY is a graduateof Valley Central High School.He played on the Varsity CrossCountry, Winter Track, and SpringTrack teams all four years of highschool. He was also involved inGrad, Math Honor Society, SpanishHonor Society, and was a secretaryof the Science Honor Society. Michael is attending BinghamtonUniversity and is seeking a degreein mathematics and economics. His father is a member of theFDNY. .
Conor Jones Conor Jones from Hawthorne, NY is a graduate of Regis High School. He was a member of the Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track & Field Teams for four years. He was heavily involved in Boy Scouts and recently received rank of Eagle Scout. While at Regis he volunteered in the school’s REACH Mentoring Program and as a teacher’s assistant at St. Aloysius School in West Harlem. He is attending Fordham University where he will pursue a major in Business. His father is a member of the FDNY. .

Robert Klein Robert Klein from Breezy Point, New York, is a graduate of Archbishop Molloy High School. He played 4 years of soccer, wascaptain of the Varsity team and earned City championship titles. He received first honors all 4 years of high school. He is a proud US Marine with the rank of Lance Corporal. He currently attends the State University of Albany, majoring in accounting. One weekend a month is spent training with his Marine unit in Long Island. Career goals at this point are FBI, FDNY. His father is a retired member of the FDNY. .
Christina Mockler Christina Mockler, from Roslyn Heights NY is a graduate of Roslyn High School. While in High School, Christina was a member of the National Foreign Language Honor Society and a four-year Scholar Athlete. She played Varsity Volleyball and was on the Forensics Speech and Debate team, making it to nationals in her senior year. She also was a photographer/editor for the school yearbook. She was also very active in her community, volunteering at St. Mary’s School of Religion as a teacher’s assistant. She currently is attending Muhlenberg College where she is majoring in biology and pursuing a career in medicine. Her father is a member of the FDNY. .
Henry Walker Henry graduated in the top 10% at Don Bosco Prep. He was Vice President of the National Honor Society, a member of the Math and English Honor Societies, and founding President of the Science Honor Society, in addition to being an active member of their Ambassador Club. After two years of playing football, Henry switched to track and field, excelled at javelin and was earned the title All –League. During the summer of 2010, Henry participated in Project Common Bond in Belfast. This program is organized by Tuesdays Children with the purpose of uniting teens from around the world who have in some way been affected by terrorism, and focuses on global problem solving techniques. Henry is currently attending Villanova University where he is considering a career in accounting and audit. As a member of Villanova’s Leadership Community, Henry was recently accepted into an 8 week internship in London beginning May 2011. .

Brian Wren Brian Wren, from Bayside, NY is a graduate of Xavier High School. He was a member of the Varsity Swimming and Diving Team for four years, was the captain his senior year and the recipient of the Varsity Swimming Coaches Award for both his junior and senior years. Brian was also a member ofthe National Honor Society. In his senior year of high school Brian received the Prudential Spirit of Community Service Award for his volunteer work in Tennessee, Alabama, and Mexico. Brian is currently attending Providence College and is majoring in Business. His father is a member of the FDNY. .
