Looking Forwards…. • During 2012/13 – roll out of see and treat programme to five health boards • Jan 2013 onwards gradual development of the existing foot and ankle service • Initial focus: mid foot and hindfoot procedures • ? specialist ankle procedures • Need to understand current Board pressures
Patient Facilities • All ward patient rooms are single en-suite • < 1% cancellation rate in 2011/12 (elective service, no trauma) • Access to Beardmore hotel: • Joint replacement – 3 nights accommodation free of charge when travelling from Grampian, Borders, Dumfries & Galloway, Argyll and Bute and Western Isles • Additional nights/ hotel also available to all relatives at reduced rate of £68 (room only)
